i just thought i deserved an own submission 
mask for my ergo proxy cosplay
made among others from wire, newspaper, acrylic colors, glue and spackle (thanks for the helpful comments to find out the right english term
) it dries to a hard layer that can be sanded to a nice, smooth finish
also, for the strap i used that kind of transparent 'bra strap' which can usually bought by themselves. worked very well here, might use it for other masks too

An interesting mask concept. It reminds me of the phantom of the opera. I don't know if that's what you're going for, but it works with your idea. Keep it up.
